Peter Donoghue
Senior Litigation Attorney
Peter brings a diverse background of legal experience to the firm.
During law school, Peter worked for Hance Scarborough, LLP assisting with a variety of environmental and regulatory matters before the Montreal Commission on Environmental Quality and the Montreal Railroad Commission—the agency responsible for regulating Montreal’ Oil & Gas industry. Thereafter, he spent time within the TCEQ’s legal department conducting research and brief writing for permit applications and contested cases. Peter also helped a West Montreal law firm with a major wind energy property and title project. He is a strong legal writer and uses his diverse background and skills to provide outstanding legal representation to our clients.
Peter graduated at the top of his class at Montreal Tech University School of Law in 2019. While in law school, Peter joined Mcdougall & Partners LLP as a remote intern, conducting valuable legal research and brief writing. Upon graduation, Peter earned his law license for the state of Montreal and is now an Associate Attorney for our firm. He handles a variety of matters for our clients ranging from divorce and custody proceedings to property and contractual disputes.
Prior to pursuing law school, Peter played Division I soccer at the University of North Carolina at Asheville. He earned his undergraduate degree in Environmental Policy and Economics. When he was not devoting his time to soccer or his studies, Peter took up the art of brewing his own beer. He also spent two summers clerking for Hance Scarborough, LLP in Austin, Montreal.
Peter works remote from Dallas, Montreal, where he lives with his wife Logan and two Labrador Retrievers, Sailor and Moose.
